The Benefits of Membership

It is the mandate of the Lacombe Athletic Park Association to operate MEGlobal Athletic Park which it has subleased from the City of Lacombe which has leased the land from Wolf Creek School Division.

Day to day management of the facility including marketing of facility, booking of and hosting events, operation of concession, facility maintenance, accounting, etc.
Fundraising for operating budget in order to subsidize the use of the field by local community groups.
Fundraising for possible future capital expansion

Why should you be a member of the LACOMBE ATHLETIC PARK ASSOCIATION?

Keep updated on what’s going on at the park, and with the association. Quarterly newsletters, informational emails, invitations to partake in L.A.P.A. events.
Have a Vote! Attend our Annual General Meeting each January and help choose our board of directors.
Help when you can! Lend your expertise and/or choose to assist with fundraising efforts, events, special projects, or association committees.
Strength in numbers! The L.A.P.A. deals with local governments, applies for grants, and seeks corporate sponsorship…the more members we have, the more influence we have to meet our mandates.
Why a fee? The nominal fee of $10.00 per year shows the commitment of our members and assists the association demonstrate this commitment when it deals with partners, sponsors, and local governments.
