· Increasing number of participants requiring a facility

· Availability of adequate fields in all weather conditions; avoidance of cancelation of events

· Moving running track to a central area of town

· Taking advantage of lack of like facilities in Central Alberta

· Draw of sporting events to Lacombe; supporting businesses throughout Central Alberta

· Safety of the playing surface; actually reduces injury compared to grass

· Environmentally friendly

· Less expensive to maintain a Field Turf (no watering, mowing, fertilizing, etc)
